These terms govern your use of the Friday Folder app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Friday Folder is provided by Jacob Tenhet ("we", "our", or "us").
Friday Folder turns school notices you send us — forwarded emails, photos of paper notices, and shared content — into a task list for your family. Tasks, dates, and events are extracted automatically using AI. Extraction is not perfect: always verify important dates, amounts, and requirements against the original notice, which the app keeps available for exactly that reason. Friday Folder is an organizational aid, not a guarantee that nothing will be missed.
You must be an adult to use Friday Folder. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for anyone you allow to use your family's account. Your private forwarding address is for your own family's school correspondence — don't use it to send us unlawful content or bulk mail, and don't attempt to disrupt or probe the service.
Friday Folder requires a paid subscription after setup, billed through your Apple ID:
Both plans start with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the end of the trial and at the start of each billing period thereafter. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings; canceling stops future charges but does not refund the current period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Prices may change for future billing periods; you will be notified in accordance with App Store rules and may cancel before a change takes effect.
You retain all rights to the notices, photos, and information you provide. You grant us permission to store and process that content solely to provide the service to your family, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell your data or use it for advertising, and your content is not used to train AI models.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app; where these terms conflict with it, these terms control to the extent permitted.
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including a missed deadline, event, or payment arising from an extraction error or service interruption. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using Friday Folder at any time; Settings → Delete account removes your data immediately as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
If these terms change materially, we will note it here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
