WarrantySnap Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 31, 2026

WarrantySnap ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Information We Collect

Your warranty data never leaves your control. Warranties, receipts, documents, product names, dates, plan numbers and providers are stored locally on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, synced through your own private iCloud account. We cannot see any of it. We have no account system and no server holding your warranties.

Two limited, anonymous exceptions are described below. Neither includes anything you have saved in the app, and both are controlled by a single switch in Settings → Privacy → Share usage & install data, which you can turn off at any time.

Anonymous Usage Data

To understand which parts of the app people reach, WarrantySnap sends counts of in-app events — for example that a screen was opened, or that an upgrade was started, completed or cancelled — along with the app version and the number of warranties saved.

These records contain no account identifier, no device identifier and no free text. Events are grouped only by a random session value that is created in memory when the app launches and is discarded when the app closes; it is never written to storage and cannot be linked to you, to your device, or to a previous session. This data is sent to our own database and is not shared with anyone.

Install Measurement

If you installed WarrantySnap after seeing an advertisement, we use AppsFlyer to measure which campaign the install came from, so we know which advertising is worth paying for.

AppsFlyer receives an identifier it generates for this app on this device, your device's Apple vendor identifier, your IP address, and basic device information such as model, operating system and app version. It does not receive your warranties, receipts, documents, or any other content from the app.

We do not use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. This data is used only to attribute installs to advertising campaigns.

Camera

We request access to your camera solely to allow you to photograph product receipts and warranty documents. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared.

Storage

We store warranty data, including product names, purchase dates, expiry dates, and receipt photos, locally on your device using an on-device database.

Notifications

We may send local push notifications to remind you of upcoming warranty expirations. These notifications are generated on-device and do not involve any external servers.

In-App Purchases

WarrantySnap offers an optional Pro upgrade. On iOS, purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit); on Android, they are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Third-Party Services

We use Apple's App Store (StoreKit) on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android to process in-app purchases. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle your data.

We use AppsFlyer for install measurement, as described above. We use Supabase to host the database that receives anonymous usage counts. Apple's iCloud syncs your warranties between your own devices under your own Apple Account; see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

WarrantySnap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Your Choices

Open Settings → Privacy in WarrantySnap and turn off Share usage & install data. This stops both the anonymous usage counts and install measurement. Anything collected during the current session but not yet sent is discarded immediately. The rest of the app is unaffected.

Data Deletion

All of your warranty data in WarrantySnap is stored locally on your device and in your own iCloud. On iOS, deleting the app removes all associated data. On Android, you can clear all app data via Settings → Apps → WarrantySnap → Clear Data, or uninstall the app. For additional requests, contact us at info@tenhetapp.com
