GutSense Privacy Policy
Effective: May 20, 2026
GutSense is a personal food and symptom journal. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights over it.
Who runs GutSense
GutSense is operated by TenhetApp. Contact: info@tenhetapp.com.
What we collect
When you create an account and use GutSense, we store:
- Account information — your email address and a hashed password (handled by Supabase Auth).
- Journal entries — meals you log (name, ingredients, time, portion, notes), symptoms you log (type, severity, time, notes), and any meals you flag as suspected triggers.
- Photos (Plus only) — meal photos you attach.
- Subscription state — whether you are on the free tier or have an active Plus subscription.
- Limited diagnostics — app crash reports and anonymous usage events. These never include the contents of your journal.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it to serve ads.
How we use it
- To run the app: store your logs, sign you in, compute pattern correlations from your data.
- To improve the app: aggregated, anonymized analytics on which features are used.
- To bill you, if you subscribe to GutSense Plus.
Who has access (subprocessors)
GutSense uses these services to operate. They process your data only on our instructions:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Stores your account and journal entries. https://supabase.com/privacy
- Anthropic — Claude API, used only when you tap “Describe it with AI”. We send the dish name you typed; no symptoms or other journal data are shared. https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy
- Apple App Store / Google Play — for payments and subscription management, when applicable.
Where data is stored
Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in the United States.
Your rights
You can, at any time and free of charge:
- Export all your data as JSON from Settings.
- Delete your account from Settings. This permanently removes your profile, meals, symptoms, photos, and computed patterns.
- Contact us at info@tenhetapp.com with any question, correction, or request.
If you live in a region with specific data rights (EU/UK/California/etc.), those rights apply to your account, and the methods above are how to exercise them.
Children
GutSense is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will notify you in the app before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent version.
